Şişecam picks up another award at the TTP Corporate Excellence Awards 2026
Şişecam’s Working Capital Notes™ programme has been named runner-up for “Best Use of Supply Chain or Working Capital Solutions” at the TTP Corporate Excellence Awards 2026.
This further recognition reflects the forward-thinking way they have approached a familiar treasury challenge: improving the buyer’s working capital position while giving suppliers greater access to liquidity.
Working alongside İşbank UK, Faturalab and ETR Digital, Şişecam’s treasury team has implemented a digital working capital programme that enables its suppliers to access early payment while allowing them to manage their own payment terms more effectively.
A different approach to working capital
For corporate treasury teams, improving working capital can often result in competing priorities.
Buyers may want to extend payment terms and retain cash within the business for longer. Suppliers, meanwhile, may need earlier access to payment to support their own liquidity requirements.
Şişecam’s programme demonstrates how those objectives can be addressed within the same simple structure.
With Working Capital Notes™, approved payment obligations can be represented digitally and financed, giving suppliers the option to receive earlier payment without requiring the buyer to accelerate its own payment timetable.
The result is an easy-to-adopt solution designed to support both sides of the commercial relationship rather than improving one organisation’s liquidity at the expense of another.
From individual transactions to a scalable programme
In late 2025, Şişecam became the first company to issue a financed Working Capital Note™, working with İşbank UK, Faturalab and ETR Digital.
The programme was designed to provide Şişecam with a practical and repeatable way to support its suppliers while managing its own cash conversion cycle.
Rather than introducing another isolated financing product, the objective is to create a structure that can be used across a wider supplier network and incorporated into Şişecam’s broader working capital strategy.
This is particularly important for large international businesses, where working capital decisions need to operate consistently across multiple centres, suppliers, markets and relationship banks.
Collaboration across the working capital ecosystem
The programme brings together several participants, each supporting a different part of the working capital process.
Şişecam provides the underlying corporate use case and treasury requirements. İşbank UK provides financing, while Faturalab supports the connection between the commercial and financing processes.
Working Capital Notes™ provide the digital instrument that supports the payment obligation and its financing.
Together, the partners have created a structure designed to make working capital finance more accessible, flexible, scalable and practical for both buyers and suppliers.
Further recognition for the Şişecam programme
The TTP Corporate Excellence Awards recognition follows previous industry recognition for the Şişecam programme, including the EuroFinance Treasury Excellence Awards 2026 and the GTR Best Deals 2026.
For ETR Digital, the recognition reinforces the importance of focusing working capital innovation on measurable corporate outcomes.
The objective is not simply to digitise an existing process. It is to give treasury teams additional ways to manage liquidity, payment terms and supplier relationships within a structure that can operate at scale.
Congratulations to Barış Gökalp and the Şişecam treasury team, together with everyone at İşbank UK, Faturalab and ETR Digital involved in developing and delivering the programme.
